To all our valued patients,

Unfortunately, we feel that to continue to operate normally at this time poses an unnecessary risk to our patients, staff and the general community.

With your safety our number one priority, we have made the difficult decision to close our practice to all but urgent dental treatment from 30th March 2020 to 30th April 2020.

We have asked our team to work reduced hours during this time, but you can still contact us at the practice on 4054 2203 during operating hours.

We will continue to see patients who are:

  1. In pain
  2. Require routine dental treatment that should not be deferred for 3-6 months as it could become a serious problem
  3. Denture repairs

Patients who have COVID-19 or show any of the following symptoms should seek advise from their GP or call the Health Department 13HEALTH phone 1343 2584 or the Coronavirus hotline 1800 020 080:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • OR have been on contact with someone who has and are self-isolating

For patients presenting to the practice, we require you to have a temperature check and a pre-treatment mouth rinse that reduces the oral viral load up to 3 hours.

The waiting room chairs, reception, desks, doors are all wiped between patients on top of all normal infection control practices.

We ask our patients to understand our decision in the broader interests of all our patients, team members and the broader community.

To all those with upcoming appointments, we will call you to re-schedule your appointment.

In these challenging times we will still continue to provide our duty of care service and compassion to you all.

As any changes occur we will inform you accordingly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this difficult time and our thoughts and best wishes are with you and your loved ones.

Gary Taifalos and the Cairns Precision Dental team.
